Who is Warm Beach Free Methodist Church

On June 20, 1967 – Warm Beach Free Methodist Church (WBFMC) began with 26 members, the average age of each person being 70. With the exception of two young couples. At the time, everyone was part of the Warm Beach Senior Community. However, those seniors had a vision that their church would not just be a senior chapel. From its founding, the vision of Warm Beach FMC has been to reach and invite anyone and everyone in the community of Warm Beach to meet Jesus for the first time or grow in relationship with Him!

While the congregation was still meeting at the Grange Hall – they were reaching out to kids and planning programs for youth. God was leading! Just months after launching, the 10 acres our facilities are built on today was sold to the FMC by a Christian couple for $1,000, essentially a gift. Warm Beach FMC now had space to gather together to worship and hear the word of God and the good news of the gospel being explained and proclaimed.

It’s what God continues to do in His church, Warm Beach Free Methodist Church, today. It’s why He’s called us to do outreach events like Vacation Bible School, volunteer in the schools in our community, serve at the food bank, serve at Camp Sun Sparrow, and serve the homeless. God has led His body to encourage each other to share the love of Christ with those in our community and grow in love for Christ.

Over the 50 year history of this church, God has faithfully produced fruitful ministry in and through His Church here in Warm Beach. There have been hundreds of people in the Warm Beach & surrounding community who have come to faith in Christ, been baptized, and experienced His transforming power in their lives. As WBFMC has been called to continue to minister and share the Gospel with the Warm Beach community these last 50 years, God has given us a renewed mission to continue for the next 50 to build kingdom-minded relationships that call and equip every generation to live like Jesus.
