FAQ Page

Is the retreat an overnight event? No. We will gather Friday evening and finish at 9:00pm to sleep in our own beds. We will then come back together at 8:30 Saturday morning for a great day!

Is there a cost? Yes. $20 cost for adult women will help provide for some of the cost of the retreat. High school teens may attend for no cost. We also have scholarships available to help defer the cost for those who need assistance. We do not want cost to be a barrier for anyone to attend! Please indicate on the registration form that you would like help with the cost and we will be in touch!

How old do I need to be to attend? This retreat is planned for ages highschool to heaven! Childcare will not be provided. Because of the nature and format of the retreat, we ask that you provide for childcare outside of the church campus. Nursing mothers are welcome to bring your little babies, and if you desire, you will have no lack of support in giving your arms a break!

Where will the retreat be held? The retreat will be on the Warm Beach Church campus at 20915 Marine Dr. Stanwood.

What kind of retreat will this be? Will there be fun and free time? Our time together will be a combination of four inspiring teaching/worship sessions as well as Saturday break out groups with options that will give you an opportunity to personalize the retreat. We will share meals together, and if the weather cooperates, there will be opportunities to enjoy some fresh air with other sisters.

Is there a theme for the “Living Loved” retreat? YES! Our retreat theme is identity. Deep down inside, we all desire to have value, matter to someone, and to make a difference with our lives. The truth is that every woman can have what we desire- through Jesus! “Living Loved” is about knowing who you were created to be and letting that impact every area of your life. This retreat will equip women of all ages to recognize their value, encourage their gifts, and learn how to operate every day, living loved!

Who is teaching? Kate Grennell will be speaking. Kate is homegrown in Warm Beach Church and community. She is letting the truth of her identity in Christ transform her own life, from rags to riches in the Kingdom of Jesus, and has a heart to see all women experience the same transformative power! Kate will also be leading a break-out session where women will be encouraged and equipped to look to Jesus for inner-healing and fullness of life.

Who is leading worship? Angela MacPherson will be leading the times of worship. Angela joined the Warm Beach church and community in 2017 and is also growing in the truth of who she is in Christ, and how to let that guide her life every day. Angela has a heart to see all women realize their potential when adopted into the Kingdom of God, bring their whole hearts to Jesus, and watch Him make something beautiful out of their life! Angela will also be leading a break out session where women will identify the truths of how each one is created in the image of God, and what that means for fullness of life.

What are Break Out Groups? Break out groups are small workshop type opportunities to personalize your retreat experience. Some break out groups will provide further teaching and going deeper opportunities. Some break out groups will provide fun options like a spring craft or a walk in the woods. There will also be a break out group specifically for having time of fellowship with other women and encouraging one another.

Are meals provided? Yes. We will have refreshments available Friday night at check-in, a continental breakfast at Saturday morning check-in, a boxed lunch, and dinner together. There will be gluten free and vegetarian options when you register. Please let us know if you have any severe allergies. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and meals if desired.

Will there be coffee? Yes! Good coffee and tea will be available. You may want to bring your own water bottle for the day.

Do I need to bring money other than my $20 for registration? You may want to bring some money for extras. We will have some event merchandise for sale throughout the weekend. Also, we will be hosting SEED Livelihood Group, a ministry of the Free Methodist Church that helps to support women from marginalized cultures by selling their handmade items here in the USA. These are beautiful items, and you might want to budget some extra money to shop this table!
