What is the mission of TRU?
TRU Midweek is a family centered and family-empowered ministry, which encourages the participation of all generations within the church. Our primary objective is spiritual formation within the families. We commit to telling The Big God Story so that God is at the center. We commit to trust the Holy Spirit as teacher and provide ways for kids and families to respond to His transforming power in their lives.
What happens at Tru?
TRU Midweek is a unique opportunity to participate with your child in an extended family worship experience. Because we at WBFMC believe that parents are the primary spiritual nurturers of their children, midweek attempts to offer parents a weekly family night that typically includes:
Upbeat kid-friendly worship (10 minutes); Part of The Big God Story, told in chronological order for ease of understanding (15 minutes); Response Stations specific to the lesson, enabling you and your child to practice hearing and responding to the Holy Spirit (10 minutes); Corporate worship led by Pastor Brent (10 minutes); Concluded with a Blessing
What about Bible memory verses through TRU?
Remember Verses are provided that reinforce the monthly themes learned through the parts of The Big God Story being told during TruMidweek. There will be opportunity to recite verses during the Wednesday Night Suppers (WNS). Summer Camp Partial Scholarships are available for kids (Kindergarten through 5th grade) who are able to say all ten verses (at one time) by May 30, 2012.

Homefront Monthly is the next step, an extra tool the helps you to extend the Tru Midweek experience. Homefront Monthly is a printable magazine packed full of family friendly ideas with meal recipes, crafts, games, conversation starters, devotions, and even marriage strengtheners.
