WBFMC History

On May 1, 1967 the Warm Beach Senior Community was opened.  As a result there was a lot of interest in planting a Free Methodist Church nearby to create a faith community for the seniors who would eventually be living at the newly established senior facility.  A building committee was elected November 27, 1968 and the church building dedication was held on June 28, 1970.

Today the Warm Beach Church can be thought of as one family in multiple expressions. The generational diversity of our church family creates many opportunities for everyone to grow in spiritual depth and experience.

The words Be, Belong, Believe and Become convey our intention to be a welcoming congregation which accepts people where they are and seeks to include them in all that God’s Spirit is doing among us. As we share our lives with one another and find our center in Jesus Christ, we grow in our ability to know and trust Jesus and experience his power to transform our lives.

Beyond ourselves we are a people for the world. Jesus told his followers to go into all the world and proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God. Our mission as a church is to reach out with love and compassion and the message of redemption through Christ to those in our community both locally and globally. Active involvement with the needs of our world creates opportunities for us to grow in faith and partner with God in demonstrating the hope of his coming Kingdom.
